Tax Scam Targeting US Citizens

This is a reminder for US citizens to be on the lookout for tax scam faxes and emails which attempt to trick you into revealing personal information such as social security numbers, driver's license information, and bank and credit card numbers.

The IRS does not send unsolicited faxes or emails to tax payers, and these messages should be disregarded.

Also, though these scams usually target people from the US, it is perfectly possible that something similar could turn up targeting people from other countries. Please be careful.
